Become an escort in Vienna: opera nights, ballrooms and guests from around the world

By Marie, Founder of Ultimate Escorts Models · Updated
Quick answer

Becoming an escort in Vienna means accompanying guests who plan their Viennese evenings a long way ahead. They come for the State Opera, the Musikverein, a dinner after the congress day or, in winter, a ball night at the Hofburg. The evening usually opens with a performance or a meal. Later come a few hours at his hotel, the Sacher or the Imperial on the Ring, and a taxi home at the end. Nothing starts below €1,000 in fees, and every guest has been checked and has paid in advance. Which evenings you accept is always up to you. You need no experience, only your 21st birthday behind you.

What you get with us

We take care of enquiries, the vetting of guests, the fee negotiation and the invoicing. The work in general is in our guide to getting started as an escort; here it is Vienna only.

From €1,000 an evening

Below €1,000 we arrange nothing. Opera and dinner followed by the hours at his hotel: €3,000, for example, a ball night more.

You say yes or no

Ball night or congress dinner, twice a month or more often: that is your call, and the ball calendar fits around you, not the other way round.

Checked guests who pay ahead

Whoever waits for you at the Sacher has been vetted by us and has already paid.

Your contact, even on a ball night

She settles everything with the guest beforehand and stays reachable until your taxi, even when a ball ends at two.

A stage name in the village of Vienna

In a city that likes to call itself a village, guests know only your stage name. Your face appears nowhere, and we look at your ID once, internally.

Nothing to pay up front

Not for joining, not for the photo shoot in Vienna, and the pictures belong to you.

What an evening in Vienna can look like

Just after six the Ring glistens with drizzle, and he is waiting in the lobby of the Hotel Sacher. You know him from a Musikverein concert last autumn; he asked weeks ago, as Vienna does. At midday your contact confirmed the State Opera behind the hotel and the fee. In the interval you stand in the foyer with a glass of Sekt and ask an honest question about the second act.

After the final curtain it is a few steps to the Rote Bar, from where your "all fine" goes to your contact. Later you stay a few hours at his hotel, and around two a taxi takes you along an empty Ring to the Josefstadt. A Viennese evening keeps to its order, and that makes it easy.

Where your evenings take place

In Vienna nearly everything that belongs to an evening lies around the Ring. Your guests stay at the Sacher, the Imperial or the Bristol.

A coffee house to arrive in

A first meeting in Vienna often begins at the marble table of a coffee house, in daylight and without hurry. The waiter puts a glass of water beside your Melange unasked, and nobody presses you with the bill.

State Opera, Burgtheater and the hotels on the Ring

Performances start on the dot, and whoever arrives late waits outside until the interval. So many guests arrange to meet next door, at the Sacher behind the opera, the Bristol opposite or the Imperial on the Kärntner Ring.

Musikverein, Konzerthaus and the Steirereck in the Stadtpark

Anyone holding tickets for the Golden Hall plans the evening with care. From the Konzerthaus it is only a few steps to the Steirereck in the Stadtpark, where a menu can run until midnight.

Between the Graben and the Freyung

In the 1st district stand the Park Hyatt on Am Hof and the Rosewood on Petersplatz, and on the Schottenring the Palais Hansen Kempinski. For a dinner that belongs to the conversation, a guest might book Konstantin Filippou on the Dominikanerbastei. Afterwards you walk through lanes that fall quiet by eleven.

Döbling and Hietzing, when it should stay private

Guests who prefer the edge of town drive out to Döbling, where Amador cooks on a wine estate on Grinzinger Strasse. In summer you sit a few streets on at a Heuriger, with a glass of Grüner Veltliner and the city at your feet. Around Schönbrunn in Hietzing a walk after dinner is part of the programme. Each meeting place is known to you before you agree, and one you dislike you simply turn down.

How you are protected

Vienna is formal, and so is what happens before every date. Every guest goes through our KYC check before you ever meet him. His advance payment is held on an intermediary account as a pass-through item until the evening itself. No full prepayment, no date.

Next your own contact rings you. She names the meeting place, the length and the fee before you commit, and the negotiating is already done. You never have to explain whether you accept a date or not. A same-day request you take only if it suits; otherwise it moves. On the night you send her a line when you reach the Sacher and again when you move on to the Rote Bar. A code word only the two of you know tells her you would like to leave. Your way home is fixed before the evening begins, even after a ball that ends at two. Where your limits lie is yours alone to decide.

We ask nothing of you in advance, and no number of dates is required. After the date we transfer your fee, invoice attached.

What our models say

  • “I've been working with some agencies, but with this agency it was really the right decision. The communication is so easy and they respect all of my wishes about planning and announcing new dates. They're not pushing me, and they really formed the dates around my life.”

    Katharina, 23
  • “I was not experienced at all when I joined. I was super nervous with every date, but they kept me safe and they kept me informed. I've never felt alone. I always felt that I work with someone, not for someone.”

Vienna · 06 · Pay

What you earn

In Vienna fees follow the occasion: an evening with opera and dinner brings €3,000, for example, and no date begins below €1,000. A ball night counts as a long evening of six to eight hours. A weekend at the Salzburg Festival lies between €6,000 and €15,000, and ten days of travel between €30,000 and €40,000. All of it is paid by the guest. Off it come our agency commission and your taxes; how much commission we take, we discuss on the phone once you have applied. Gown, hairdresser and dressmaker are your own costs, which is why a ball night, at €3,000 to €4,500, also pays more than an opera evening.

How many evenings a month brings follows the Viennese calendar. In the ball winter and in congress weeks more guests enquire; in July and August, when the State Opera is closed, it goes quiet. Two to four a month is what many women settle on, a few take more. Work out your own month with our guide to what escorts earn. These are examples, not a promise.

Vienna · 07 · Discretion

Discretion in Vienna

What if somebody recognises you? The Viennese like to call their capital a village, because the same people keep meeting at the opera, in the ballroom and at the coffee house. People address one another by title, know each other's families and guard their reputation. Anyone in a ministry or a law firm on the Ring knows this.

That is why you tell us on the very first call which houses, organisations and sectors are off limits for you. No enquiry from there ever reaches you. Outwardly you carry a stage name, and nobody ever sees your face in public. Should you run into a guest in a foyer one day, you decide whether you say hello. Viennese guests want the same reserve for themselves. If you come from abroad, think of home too, because a photo from a Vienna ballroom travels fast.

What you bring

What must you be able to do? Less than you think. Viennese guests like women who keep the form and are warm all the same, who listen and can laugh at a dry remark. It is more formal than in Germany. A "Herr Doktor" stays a "Herr Doktor" all evening, and the polite Sie often lasts into the third meeting, until he offers you first names. His grumbling about the long production or the grumpy waiter is usually Schmäh, the local teasing, and an invitation to join in. You do not need to speak Viennese for any of this. Standard German is enough everywhere, and with congress guests English is welcome. A "Grüß Gott" at the cloakroom and a Melange at the coffee house are learnt in a day. Experience is not needed either, but you must be 21.

Vienna · 09 · Where to live

Living in or near Vienna

Do you have to live in Vienna? No, and some women value exactly that distance. From Bratislava the regional train brings you to the Hauptbahnhof in about an hour, from St. Pölten the Railjet in half of that. In your own stairwell nobody asks where you are off to in a long dress. You never pay for the trip yourself: the guest always covers a travel allowance, so after a ball night the last train is not your concern. If you live in Slovakia or Lower Austria, we work out which office is responsible, and LEFÖ-TAMPEP advises independently.

Guests from abroad land at Schwechat, close enough for dinner on the evening they arrive. Trips begin there too: to Salzburg for the festival in summer, to the Wachau, or by train to Budapest. Flights, train and hotel go on the guest's account, and you know the programme and the return before you say yes. If Salzburg or Munich is closer to home, Munich have pages of their own.

Vienna · 10 · First steps

Coming to Vienna from abroad

Some women come for the ball winter only and go home when it ends. Direct trains reach the Hauptbahnhof from Munich, Zurich, Budapest and Prague, so a home across a border works for single evenings. For a few weeks a furnished flat is calmer than a hotel, and it stays private, because dates take place elsewhere. Once you move in, the city explains on its website how to register your address. Fees arrive in euros, by transfer and with an invoice; a bank account in your own name is therefore needed. Many congress evenings can be in English, which makes Vienna a gentle first city while your German is still basic. The formality here is only good manners; the warmth follows by the second meeting.

Ball winter and congresses: when Vienna is full

From 11 November the Viennese winter belongs to the balls, and from January until Shrove Tuesday one festivity follows the next in the Hofburg, the Rathaus and the Musikverein. The Opera Ball at the State Opera in February requires a floor-length gown for women. A ball night opens with the grand entrance and rarely ends before two in the morning. Because guests secure their tickets early, such requests usually arrive in the autumn. Whether you want to go to balls at all this season is up to you. Never waltzed? A few hours at a dance school will do.

All year round the congresses at the Austria Center Vienna and the sessions at the UN complex bring guests to the city. The International Atomic Energy Agency and UNIDO sit there, and OPEC has its headquarters in Vienna. Such guests sometimes ask only in the afternoon for a dinner in the centre, sheath dress rather than gown, often in English. What they work on they rarely say; they like company that stays curious without prying. Those who come regularly for business in Central and Eastern Europe often become regulars.

Vienna · 12 · Applying

Your first evening in four steps

  1. Apply in one minute. The form comes in English and German, photos can follow later, and sending it commits you to nothing.
  2. A reply within 24 hours. We write back and suggest a time to talk.
  3. A call of 20 to 40 minutes. The call covers the questions Vienna raises: whether you would take on ball nights, whether weekdays leave time for congress dinners, and which ministries, organisations or sectors you rule out. You may ask anything, and you decide nothing that day.
  4. A free photo shoot. The photos belong to you, and whether we work together is a decision you make only afterwards. Until then no enquiry reaches you.

Which questions come up in the call and what to send beforehand is covered in how to apply to an escort agency.

Experience is not required, you must be 21, and should nothing come of it, your application is gone after 90 days. When you are ready, apply for Vienna, confidentially and free of charge.

Health service, police, tax office: what comes first in Vienna?

Austria handles the first steps differently from Germany, and in Vienna there are two appointments before your first date. First comes an appointment with the city’s health service in the 3rd district, then you register in person with the Vienna State Police Directorate, and later you deal with the tax office and social insurance. What to bring is explained by the offices themselves and in the city’s information brochure, which is also available in English.

Rules about where evenings may take place differ between Austrian regions, so we go through what applies to your evenings in Vienna and on trips before you accept your first booking.

Independent advice in Vienna
  • SOPHIE: the counselling centre of Volkshilfe Wien, anonymous and free, with social counselling and German classes.
  • LEFÖ-TAMPEP: advises migrant women in their first language and can accompany you to the registration.
  • Non-EU passport: before booking your trip, let SOPHIE or LEFÖ-TAMPEP check with you what your residence status permits.
  • Afterwards: a tax adviser and the social insurance institution for the self-employed help with tax and insurance.

Both advice centres are independent of every agency, and a second opinion from them is worth having, about us as well.

General information, not legal advice. Binding answers come from the authority and a local advice centre.

Five questions to tap through, your result comes at the end.

Frequently asked questions

How much money can a date in Vienna bring?

Dates start at €1,000, a concert followed by dinner might bring €3,000, and a weekend at the Salzburg Festival €6,000 to €15,000. These are the fees the guest pays, and the agency commission comes off them. How many evenings a month brings depends on the ball season and the congress calendar, and nobody can promise a figure.

How do I start in Vienna if I live in another country?

Applying online takes a minute and three recent photos, and our reply comes within 24 hours, in English or German. On the phone we talk about the weeks you could spend here, whether balls and congress dinners appeal to you and who you would rather not meet. Before your first date you also need an appointment with the city's health service and an in-person registration with the Vienna police.

Will my English carry a Viennese evening?

Yes, many evenings can be in English, especially with congress guests and people from the international organisations, and plenty of Viennese guests switch languages happily. A few words such as Grüß Gott and Zum Wohl are a nice touch, and the city publishes its information brochure in English as well.

When do Viennese guests usually make their plans?

Usually well ahead, because opera and concert tickets are bought weeks in advance and Opera Ball tickets are allocated in the early summer before. Now and then a congress visitor asks on the day itself, and your contact simply checks with you first; if the evening does not suit you, he is offered another one. Whether he books early or late, no request reaches you until our KYC check on him is complete.

What if I have never danced a Viennese waltz?

That is fine, because whether you go to balls at all is your decision, and a guest who leads calmly makes a basic step perfectly enough. If you would feel more confident, book a few lessons at a Viennese dance school before the season. The Opera Ball requires a floor-length gown, which you pay for yourself, along with the hairdresser.

Can I live in Bratislava or elsewhere nearby and meet guests in Vienna?

Yes, Bratislava is about an hour away by regional train, and whatever the distance, the guest covers a travel allowance for every evening, so the trip in and out never costs you anything. Which office is responsible for you if you live outside Vienna is something we work out together, and LEFÖ-TAMPEP can advise you on it independently.

Can I rule out guests from my own world, such as the UN or a ministry?

Yes, you simply exclude requests from your organisation, your ministry or your industry. You work under a stage name, your face is never recognisable on your profile, and if you meet a guest by chance in a foyer, you decide whether to say hello.

Do I really have to go to the police in Vienna?

Yes, you register in person with the Vienna State Police Directorate, after a first appointment with the City of Vienna health service, and later the tax office and social insurance. SOPHIE and LEFÖ-TAMPEP advise you independently of us, and LEFÖ-TAMPEP will accompany you to the registration if you would like.
